- <p> Listen to the first bars of Will You Be There on MICHAEL
- JACKSON'S platinum platter Dangerous, and you'll hear not the
- sharp cries of the Gloved . . . uh, the Casted One but rather
- the ethereal chords of an earlier superstar -- Ludwig van
- Beethoven. That bit of Beethoven's Ninth was lifted from a 1961
- Cleveland Orchestra recording -- without permission. So now the
- Tuxedoed Ones are suing for $7 million. "This is not aimed at
- Michael Jackson because he is famous," says an official. "We're
- happy to talk about efforts to synthesize pop music with the
- things we do." Perhaps they could collaborate on, say, the
- "Moonwalk" Sonata?
